Today, we share important news about the leadership of Health Consumers NSW.
After 12 years as CEO, Dr Anthony Brown will step down from the role.
For many of you, Anthony is more than the CEO. Over the years, he has listened to your stories, supported your advocacy and encouraged many of you to step into consumer representative roles. He has also built trusted relationships with NSW Health, universities, and health organisations. That care and commitment have shaped our culture.
Luckily, Anthony is not leaving Health Consumers NSW. We are very happy that he will continue with the organisation as Consumer Engagement Manager, Research. In this role, he will focus on growing our work in research and strengthening partnerships with universities and research institutions.
This transition is a positive step for the organisation. Our vision, our purpose, and our commitment to working alongside health consumers, carers, and communities across NSW remain unchanged.
A new CEO with fresh eyes and new ideas is a great opportunity for HCNSW. Change is an important part of any healthy organisation. It allows us to build on our strong, existing foundations, while continuing to grow and adapt to the future.
Recruitment for a new CEO will begin on Monday, 16 March, through our website and Scout Talent.
Anthony will support a structured transition and a thorough handover, so the next CEO steps into a well-supported role with strong relationships and a clear sense of where HCNSW is heading.
Thank you to everyone in our community for the passion and commitment you bring to improving the health system. If you know the right person to become our next CEO, please share this opportunity.
