Finding health consumer representatives for your project or organisation

So you want to co-design your health consumer engagement and community involvement or you are looking for community and consumer representatives for a project, comittee or group? But you are struggling to find people who want to be involved?

You have asked locally, put up posters where appropriate and been in touch with your local health consumer groups and community organisations who might have an interest in your project or committee.

You have advertised in relevant Facebook groups and published an ad in your local newspaper.

How we can help you find health consumer representatives

We are able to help you find health consumer representatives in three different ways:

  1. Publish your health consumer representative vacancy in our monthly e-newsletter, The Wrap, which is sent to our health consumer representative network (download the 2024 editorial guidelines and publishing dates). In the newsletter, we can link to your vacancy ad/article on your website (in some cases we can publish the opportunity on our website too). We will also publish your consumer rep vacancy on our social media channels and online Community Space. Please use the below form if you would like us to publish and advertise your consumer representative vacancy. (Note: it can take up to 4 weeks for us to publish your vacancy if you just missed the editorial deadline!)
  2. Run the complete health consumer representative recruitment and Expression of Interest process for you for a fee-for-service. Please contact us, if you are interested in that.
  3. If you think your committee is of state-wide importance and you would like to request an official Health Consumer NSW representative (one of our Board members) who reports back to us, please send us an email stating exactly why you need an official Health Consumers NSW representative.

Please be aware that this process will take time and, while we will do our best to find a consumer representative, we cannot guarantee to find a match for all requests.
