In 2020, we partnered with Sydney Health Partners to undertake an environmental scan of Consumer and Community Involvement and developed introductory training for researchers an consumers. In 2022, we worked with Sydney Health Partners to develop principles and a Consumer and Community Involvement Framework.
In 2022, we partnered with the University of NSW Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture, and the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society on a health data ecologies project. The project is exploring how consumers make meaning of health data and using an arts-based methodology.
The Toolkit for Independence project aims to strengthen and support an independent health consumer voice in Australian health policy. This project will develop and test practical tools to support health consumer organisations to manage industry relationships and sponsorship. The project is a collaboration between Researchers and practitioners at the University of Sydney, Health Consumers NSW, the Consumers Health Forum, and other research institutions.
