How We Can Help You

We are representing over 50 health consumer organisations in NSW and Australia

Your NSW peak health consumer organisation

As the peak health consumer organisations in NSW, we bring consumer groups together to work collaboratively on making health care better for all health consumers.

We bring together diverse health consumer groups from across NSW and Australia. Our members are organisations that represent people with specific health conditions, are focused on broader healthcare issues, or represent specific communities.

How we can work together

By becoming a member, your organisation will become part of a community that works together to foster collective effort to enhance healthcare experiences and outcomes.

  • You can join the HCNSW Consumer Organisations Taskforce which meets bi-monthly to share information, coordinate policy responses and identify emerging issues of concern for health consumers in NSW.
  • You can nominate members for the HCNSW Board and vote in elections, having a real say in the direction of the organisation and our strategic priorities.
  • We can provide you and your members with opportunities to contribute to state-wide discussions, consultations and decisions.
  • You get exclusive access to some educational opportunities, as well as reduced rates for our regular education and training programs for your members.
  • You can join the dedicated Health Consumer Organisations online space in our Mighty Networks Community.
  • We can help very small, grassroots health community and consumer organisations with their set-up and strategy.

We will be led by you – our members – on policy issues that face specific groups (around different conditions or populations), we take a lead on systemic and safety issues that impact all consumers.

Health Consumers NSW amplifies the impact of consumer voices, fostering a healthcare landscape that is more responsive, patient-centered, and inclusive. By supporting and connecting consumer organisations, Health Consumers NSW plays a crucial role in promoting a unified and empowered health consumer community that advocates for positive change in the healthcare sector.
